I got this system for my small room on offerup for $80 and had it in it’s stock natural form for about 5 months or so and it sounded 8/10. Very loud although the quality faltered a bit after about vol 37. Great for movies and ok for music. Eventually my left front speaker broke which led me to splicing in two bookshelf speakers I had for the fronts and a cheap 12” sub in a ported box. After some playing around with the eq and positioning tweaks; it sounds absolutely phenomenal even with the factory surrounds and underpowered sub. I never realized how the stock speakers lack so much midrange. These speakers are meant to be placed exactly how the instructions say for the best performance.

only front channels work at any time, although all 6 test fine. manual says if the source is not 5.1 Dolby Blu-Ray only front channels will amplify. pure waste of money!!!

This product has amazing sound, giving great crisp and loud feedback when watching anything from a tv show to movies. It'll make you think that characters are speaking in the same room as you.

Dec, 2014 I purchased a Samsung 55” 4K Curved TV and this Samsung home theater system. The whole reason I purchased the sound system was so that it would work well with the TV. At first it seemed to work seamless. Whenever I turned on the TV the sound system would also turn on. It seems after an update the sound system only turns on if I am using it for a DVD. Also, loud scenes are especially loud to contrast against quiet talking scenes that you can barely hear. During a movie I have to continually play a game of turning the volume up, and down. Rear speakers only turn on when volume is above 22 sometimes 24 or during loud scenes. The subwoofer is barely audible. The blueray player also seems to have an under powered processor. Navigating a DVD using the remote takes about 8 seconds for each action from the remote to register with the player and make a change. If you are going to go through the trouble of installing a nice home theater system my recommendation would be to keep looking for another product. You may have to spend more money but it would be worth the wait for better quality.
